Where: Kessa's Home in Concord Area, NH

(So.Central NH, 1 hour north of Boston)

 

There is access to a full kitchen. It is a Potluck and BYOB; there are usually about 25-35 Browncoats in attendance so come join the fun.  Limited space is available if people would like to stay over (please plan that with me beforehand). There are also hotels nearby.

 

So, bring your musical instruments and any dvds, cds, stories, games, food, drink and anecdotes to share!

Two Dates: Browncoat Beach Day and August Shindig  

In lieu of Shelley's cancelled Pool Party Shindig

(that would have been awesome);
 
Come join us for

BROWNCOAT BEACH DAY!
 
When: Saturday, August 2nd
Noon til Whenever
 
What: A small beach along the Merrimack River in NH that is very kid friendly and very dog friendly too.


Bring Everything You'll need: bathingsuit, towel, food, drink, sunscreen, floaties... 

Note that it is about a 1/4 mile walk on a nicely cut path through nature to get to the beach (a wagon for your stuff or stroller can easily be taken on it).
 
Where: Exit 17 off 1-93 in NH (Penacook, Boscawen exit, Kessa's shindig exit)
Take a right off of the exit.  Then take a right before the bridge onto Shoestring Road. Follow this road to the left.  It will turn into Old Boyce Road, Oxbow Pond Rd and Riverland Road.  Some of it is a dirt road. You probably won't even notice the road name changes. It is not that far (I am betting it is less than a mile but I am doing this from memory).  You will pass a soccer field and keep going a bit more. The parking lot into the park will be on your left.  The trail to the beach is off to the right as you drive into the lot.
 
It is about 1 hour and 15 minutes north of Boston.

My spud is Growing Up...  

Wow!! 

I am the mom of a "First Grader".  
Today she lost her first tooth and is waiting tonight to get "Big Bucks" for it. 
She wanted short PINK hair...she now has SHORT PINK HAIR - thanks big sis ;)   (and no, it's not a wig, yes it is all real)
She is an Orange Belt in Karate. She is going into her third year of Ballet this Fall.

When did all this happen???

(Yes, the icon is all her!!)

In True Kradical Fashion: Well, This Sucks!  

I don't usually post famous people dying but until it happened I didn't realize how much it would affect me:

George Carlin died yesterday of a heart condition.

He was truly THE comedian of my time. 
I feel old, I feel sad. He will be missed!
